Job Summary
The Cath Lab Tech is responsible for assisting in the performance of diagnostic and interventional procedures in the catheterization laboratory, ensuring high standards of patient care and adherence to safety protocols. This role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to provide excellent service to patients undergoing cardiac procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during catheterization procedures, ensuring all equipment is ready for use.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and provide pre- and post-procedure care as needed.
- Maintain a sterile environment and ensure compliance with safety and health standards.
- Prepare and operate imaging and monitoring equipment.
- Document procedural outcomes and maintain accurate patient records.
Qualifications
- Associates degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
- Current certification as a Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or equivalent.
- Experience in cardiovascular technology is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Knowledge of catheterization lab protocols and procedures.
