Job Summary
The CDL Driver – Home Daily position is essential for transporting goods efficiently while ensuring a reliable and timely delivery service. The role emphasizes driving skill, adherence to safety protocols, and maintaining equipment in optimal condition. The driver will primarily operate within a defined local route, allowing for daily home returns.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods to specified locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and readiness.
- Adhere to all local traffic regulations and company policies regarding safe driving and delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, hours worked, and vehicle inspections.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and report any issues encountered during delivery.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements.
- Proven experience in driving commercial vehicles, preferably within a local delivery setting.
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols and traffic laws.
- Ability to maintain clear and concise communication with team members and clients.
- Experience with route navigation and time management skills.
