Job Summary
The Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in delivering quality patient care by performing various clinical duties. This position involves patient interaction, monitoring vital health signs, and supporting healthcare providers during ear, nose, and throat (ENT) procedures.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient intake and gather relevant information.
- Monitor and record vital signs for patients.
- Assist healthcare providers with procedures specific to ENT.
- Administer medications as prescribed.
- Request and secure prior authorizations for treatments.
- Ensure the maintenance and proper functionality of clinical equipment.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Must possess a valid Medical Assistant certification from an accredited program.
- A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
