Job Summary
The Certified Medical Assistant plays a vital role in supporting physicians during patient examinations, procedures, and treatments, ensuring precise clinical documentation is maintained within the Electronic Health Record (EHR). This position also involves providing health education to patients regarding their conditions and medications, as well as managing necessary follow-up care.
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the EHR.
- Educate patients about health matters and medications.
- Coordinate follow-up care as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid and current Medical Assisting certification from an accredited program (such as AAMA, NCCT, or AMT).
- Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with EPIC software is advantageous.
