Job Summary
The Certified Medical Assistant plays a vital role in supporting healthcare providers in delivering patient care within a rural health clinic. This position encompasses both clinical and administrative responsibilities, ensuring smooth operations in patient treatment and record management.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with various patient treatments and diagnostic procedures.
- Perform general nursing duties as required in the clinic setting.
- Handle administrative tasks, which include scheduling appointments and obtaining insurance authorizations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records to ensure efficient healthcare delivery.
Qualifications
- Completion of a Certified Medical Assistant program is mandatory.
- Possession of an active certification as a Medical Assistant.
- Preferred minimum of one year experience working in a healthcare setting, such as a provider office or a hospital.
