Job Summary
Allina Health is looking for a dedicated Surgical Technologist to become a part of a dynamic Operating Room (OR) team in New Ulm, Minnesota. This role involves supporting the surgical team, ensuring the OR is properly prepared, and handling surgical instruments and supplies while upholding strict aseptic protocols. The position may also require on-call duties following the completion of the orientation period.
Responsibilities
- Assist the surgical team during procedures.
- Prepare the operating room for surgeries, ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are available.
- Maintain aseptic technique and adhere to safety standards throughout surgical procedures.
- Manage and handle surgical instruments effectively.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, including potential on-call responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist.
- Experience in operating room settings is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and surgical instruments.
- Ability to work well in a high-pressure environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
