Job Summary
The Certified Medication Aide plays a critical role in healthcare settings, primarily tasked with ensuring the safe administration of medications to patients. This position requires adherence to specific protocols and guidelines to promote effective patient care and maintain compliance with health regulations.
Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed medications accurately and on time to patients.
- Monitor patient responses and side effects related to medication.
- Document medication administration and changes in patient conditions.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding medication usage and health maintenance.
- Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to develop and update care plans.
Qualifications
- Must hold a valid certification as a Medication Aide.
- Experience in a healthcare or clinical environment is preferred.
- Strong understanding of pharmacology and medication management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
