Job Summary
The Certified Pharmacy Technician (Nights) plays a vital role in the healthcare team, assisting licensed pharmacists in delivering medication and healthcare services to patients. This position requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to operate efficiently during night shifts.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense prescribed medications under the direction of a pharmacist.
- Manage inventory, including ordering and restocking medications and supplies.
- Verify prescription information and resolve any discrepancies as directed by supervisors.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting patients with inquiries regarding medications and services.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications
- Must hold a valid pharmacy technician certification.
- Experience in a pharmacy environment is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software and medication dispensing processes.
