Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) specializing in Cardiothoracic Open Heart Surgery to join our team at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. This onsite position in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, is vital for providing exceptional care during surgical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist surgical teams in a variety of procedures related to cardiothoracic operations.
- Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgeries, ensuring all necessary instruments and equipment are sterile and available.
- Collaborate closely with surgeons and nurses to ensure efficient procedures.
- Handle instruments and supplies during operations accurately.
- Participate actively in the patient care process before, during, and after surgery.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations within the operating room environment.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) is required.
- Experience in cardiothoracic surgery settings is preferred.
- Strong understanding of sterile technique and operating room protocols.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential.
- Ability to work well under pressure and maintain focus in a fast-paced environment.
