Job Summary
The Certified Surgical Technologist – OR Scrub Tech at Broadlawns Medical Center in Hillsboro, Oregon, plays a vital role in supporting surgical operations. This position entails assisting in patient care and preparing individuals for surgery under the guidance of nursing staff. The surgical technologist will ensure that the surgical environment is sterile and that all necessary instruments are readily available for procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing patients for surgical procedures.
- Set up and maintain sterile fields during surgeries.
- Conduct instrument counts to ensure all tools are accounted for before, during, and after procedures.
- Support the surgical team in patient care as needed.
- Identify and respond to patient needs throughout surgical processes.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist.
- Ability to maintain a sterile environment.
- Strong understanding of surgical procedures and protocols.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams.
