Job Summary
This role offers direct nursing support under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), focusing on comprehensive patient care. The position entails performing patient assessments, administering medications, monitoring patient conditions, executing basic medical procedures, and ensuring precise documentation of care provided.
Responsibilities
- Deliver nursing care that aligns with the guidance of an RN.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for patient care.
- Assist in developing care plans and educating patients and families.
- Adhere to safety protocols and infection-control measures.
- Work collaboratively within the multi-disciplinary healthcare team.
Qualifications
- 0–1 year of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN).
- Must hold an active LPN or LVN license in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is highly preferred.
- Additional certifications may be mandated or time-sensitive in certain states.
