Job Summary
The Charge Nurse plays a pivotal role in overseeing care teams, managing the administration of medications, and executing resident care plans in alignment with established policies and physician directives. This position emphasizes maintaining meticulous documentation, providing education to support personnel, and fostering a safe and efficient working environment.
Responsibilities
- Direct the activities of care teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols.
- Implement and monitor resident care plans as per physicians’ orders.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of patient care and outcomes.
- Educate and train support staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards to promote a secure workplace.
Qualifications
- Must hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in good standing.
- Possess strong technical skills, along with assessment and communication abilities.
- Demonstrate organizational skills to manage workflows effectively.
- Ability to respond promptly and efficiently to emergency situations.
