The Chemical Material Technician plays a crucial role in supporting daily production through the safe handling of materials, assisting with washroom tasks, and contributing to warehouse operations. This position is best suited for individuals who are reliable, prioritize safety, and can collaborate effectively within a team setting.
Responsibilities of the Chemical Material Technician
- Perform cleaning and management of glass materials utilized in production at the washroom.
- Acquire knowledge and adhere to appropriate washroom protocols before advancing to warehouse tasks.
- Select and prepare materials necessary for blending and production initiatives.
- Safely handle chemicals, which includes tasks like pulling, measuring, and pouring materials as needed.
- Utilize warehouse equipment like tow motors to transport materials within the facility.
- Assist in the handling and organization of materials in the warehouse.
- Adhere to all safety regulations when dealing with chemicals and operating equipment.
- Keep the workspace tidy, organized, and secure.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production requirements effectively.
- Punctually attend work and maintain consistent attendance.
Qualifications for the Chemical Material Technician
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license is necessary.
- No prior experience is needed; comprehensive training will be provided.
- Capability to work safely in environments involving chemicals and glass materials.
- Eagerness to learn about washroom and warehouse procedures.
- Ability to function effectively within a team.
- Exhibit strong reliability, punctuality, and a solid work ethic.
- Open to working weekends if required.
