The Chemist will aid in the development of formulations and participate in laboratory testing for the Formulation Design team. This position involves hands-on laboratory activities, the execution of physical stability tests, meticulous recording of data and observations, and ensuring maintenance of safe and tidy laboratory conditions. The perfect candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related field, possesses keen attention to detail, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative R&D setting.
Chemist Responsibilities:
- Conduct laboratory tests and provide formulation support according to established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Execute physical stability tests, including measuring viscosity, density, and other necessary parameters.
- Prepare and assess chemical samples while adhering to sound chemical principles and safe lab practices.
- Accurately and promptly document experimental data, findings, and observations.
- Assist in formulation development through testing, problem-solving, and effective documentation.
- Help maintain a well-organized work environment and contribute to laboratory safety and cleanliness standards.
- Work collaboratively with scientists, chemists, and cross-disciplinary team members to adhere to project timelines and adapt to changing priorities.
- Handle multiple assignments efficiently while adapting to evolving business demands.
Chemist Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related field is essential.
- One to three years of relevant laboratory experience is required.
- Prior experience with physical stability testing, such as viscosity and density evaluations, is necessary.
- A fundamental understanding of formulation development is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills, organization, and attention to detail are crucial.
- Candidates should be self-driven, capable of independent work while also engaging effectively in a team.
- Flexibility, the ability to multitask, and responsiveness to shifting priorities are required.
