Job Summary
The Chief Engineer is responsible for overseeing all aspects of engineering and maintenance operations within the facility. This includes managing the physical plant, maintaining grounds, and ensuring the effectiveness of safety systems. The role encompasses budget management, monitoring capital projects, and leading the emergency response team in addressing facility-related issues.
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise engineering and maintenance operations.
- Oversee the physical infrastructure and grounds of the facility.
- Ensure the effectiveness and safety of safety systems.
- Handle budgetary responsibilities and oversight.
- Lead capital projects and coordinate their execution.
- Direct the emergency response team in case of facility-related emergencies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or an associate degree coupled with 2 years of experience in engineering or maintenance.
- Technical training and expertise in HVAC-R, electrical systems, or plumbing is mandatory.
