Job Summary
The Chromatography Lab Technician plays a critical role in providing analytical expertise across various business sectors. This position involves leading initiatives related to knowledge acquisition, product innovation, competitive assessments, technical assistance, and routine laboratory testing.
Responsibilities
- Prepare samples for analysis in the chromatography lab.
- Collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate data to support technical projects and service inquiries.
- Ensure data integrity to deliver top-quality results.
- Collaborate with the chromatography team to meet customer requirements.
- Support other laboratory groups as needed based on testing demands.
- Engage with a diverse range of internal stakeholders.
- Effectively communicate technical information across various departments.
- Troubleshoot and ensure proper maintenance of testing equipment and procedures.
- Contribute to safety programs and adhere to safety protocols while maintaining organized lab conditions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Polymer Science, or Materials Science.
- At least 2 years of experience in an analytical chemistry lab setting, particularly with LC and/or LC-MS or similar chromatographic methods.
- Proven experience in drafting technical reports.
- Demonstrated abilities in project management, capable of juggling multiple projects at once.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a talent for fostering professional relationships at various organizational levels.
- Self-motivated individual with the capacity to manage several tasks effectively, especially under tight deadlines.
- A strong sense of scientific inquiry combined with a results-oriented approach.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
