Job Summary
This role involves providing expert guidance to clients on CMBS (Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities) and real estate capital market transactions. Key functions include drafting and negotiating legal documents, performing due diligence, evaluating legal risks, and addressing issues that arise during transactions.
Responsibilities
- Advise clients on CMBS and real estate capital markets transactions.
- Draft and negotiate essential legal documents related to transactions.
- Conduct thorough due diligence to assess various aspects of transactions.
- Evaluate legal risks associated with transactions.
- Resolve issues that may arise in the course of transactions.
- Work collaboratively with both internal teams and external parties.
- Maintain and update legal document templates.
- Mentor and guide junior staff members in their professional growth.
- Keep abreast of developments in the industry to inform practices.
- Support business development initiatives to attract new clients.
Qualifications
- Obtained a Juris Doctor degree.
- Active membership in the Florida Bar or eligibility for admission.
- A minimum of six years of experience in CMBS and real estate capital markets transactions.
- Strong understanding of securities law and real estate finance principles.
- Excellent skills in drafting and negotiating legal documents.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in business development and client management is advantageous.
