Job Summary
The primary role involves the setup, operation, and maintenance of 3-axis CNC milling machines to produce high-precision components and tooling for the aerospace industry. The operator will be responsible for selecting appropriate tooling and machining parameters while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate 3-axis CNC milling machines for manufacturing aerospace components.
- Maintain and troubleshoot machining processes to resolve any issues that arise.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality specifications.
- Document production processes and maintain records related to quality and performance.
- Adhere to safety protocols while performing machining tasks.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the production environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- A minimum of three years of experience in CNC machining, specifically operating 3-axis milling machines.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
- Preferred experience in machining training and the aerospace sector.
- Experience with CNC program editing and knowledge of Haas or Fanuc control systems are advantageous.
