Computed Tomography Technologist

Job Summary

The CT Tech in Akron, OH is responsible for executing computed tomography (CT) procedures with precision, applying appropriate techniques and administering contrast materials. This professional plays a vital role in ensuring high-quality diagnostic imaging, while efficiently managing patient flow and the overall functionality of the CT department.

Responsibilities

• Conduct CT scans using established imaging protocols and techniques.
• Administer contrast agents and medications in line with licensure, certifications, and departmental guidelines.
• Perform venipunctures when necessary for contrast delivery.
• Oversee patient movement and daily scanner workflows to maintain effective operations.
• Utilize professional judgment in operating and sustaining imaging equipment, while addressing any operational issues.
• Guarantee patient comfort, safety, and quality care throughout imaging processes.
• Keep precise patient documentation and records in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Work collaboratively with radiologists, healthcare professionals, and clinical staff to ensure optimal patient care.
• Assist in imaging tasks across various modalities as required by the department.
• Participate in on-call duties, including scheduled weekends, holidays, and night shifts.

Qualifications

• Current ARRT CT certification.
• Valid Ohio licensure.
• Active AHA BLS certification.
• Experience with CT procedures and contrast administration.
• Understanding of CT imaging technology, radiation safety practices, and patient positioning.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and critical-thinking abilities.
• Capacity to work independently in a dynamic healthcare setting.
• Availability for on-call work one day per month and flexible for rotating weekend shifts.
