Job Summary
The Controller is responsible for managing the accounting and financial reporting functions for a collection of hotels, ensuring that both month-end and year-end processes are executed with precision. This role also involves leading the accounting team, upholding internal controls, and collaborating with operational leadership to enhance financial performance.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the accounting and financial reporting for the hotel portfolio.
- Ensure accuracy in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Lead and mentor the accounting team to promote a high-performance culture.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls across financial operations.
- Work closely with operational leadership to drive and improve financial outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
- 5 to 7 years of progressively responsible experience in the hospitality sector.
- Expertise in GAAP and financial reporting systems is crucial.
- Strong team leadership skills are essential for this position.
