Job description
Job Summary
The Controls Electrician is essential for maintaining and troubleshooting controls systems within various facilities. This role involves working with electrical equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards are achieved within the systems in operation.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical control systems and components.
- Diagnose electrical issues and implement effective solutions.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Collaborate with other trades and engineers to facilitate system upgrades and modifications.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and system changes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Completion of an electrician apprenticeship program or equivalent work experience.
- Valid electrician’s license or certification as required by state law.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, circuitry, and controls technology.
- Experience with PLCs and industrial control systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve electrical issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills and the capacity to work independently or as part of a team.
