Job Summary
The Dietary Aide plays a vital role in supporting food preparation, serving meals, and ensuring the kitchen meets sanitation standards as per established protocols. This position is integral in delivering meals that fulfill the nutritional and dietary requirements of residents, all while adhering to applicable state and federal regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of food and serve meals to residents.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and dining areas.
- Ensure that meal offerings align with residents’ dietary and nutritional needs.
- Comply with all relevant state and federal food safety standards.
Qualifications
- A minimum of one year of experience in institutional food service, preferably as a cook.
- Functional literacy and the ability to read and interpret standardized recipes.
- Understanding of and adherence to safety protocols in food handling.
