Job Summary
The Counselor I plays a vital role in delivering individual counseling sessions, facilitating group discussions, and providing crisis intervention within a collaborative multi-disciplinary team environment. This position is integral to supporting patients through their treatment journey by ensuring comprehensive care and support.
Responsibilities
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions for patients.
- Facilitate crisis intervention when necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans tailored to patient needs.
- Coordinate discharge planning for patients upon completion of treatment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Must be registered with an approved state-level certification organization, such as CADTP, CAADE, or CCAPP.
- A minimum of one year of experience in a behavioral healthcare setting is essential.
- Enrollment in an Addictions Studies program is a prerequisite.
