CT Technologist 
Kalamazoo, MI 
Weekly gross: $2430

3x 12-hour shifts – Days 
Contract duration: 13 weeks 

The CT Technologist is responsible for independently conducting computed tomography scans in a dynamic Level I Trauma setting, delivering exceptional diagnostic imaging across pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric demographics. Key responsibilities include executing advanced CT procedures, administering contrast materials, ensuring patient safety, and applying appropriate imaging and post-processing methods. This position necessitates experience in acute care, emergency department, and outpatient environments.

Responsibilities of the CT Technologist:

  • Conduct independent CT imaging for a variety of patient ages in acute care, emergency, and outpatient facilities.
  • Execute scans of the abdomen, pelvis, chest, head, neck, spine, and musculoskeletal system, both with and without contrast.
  • Perform advanced imaging evaluations including vascular CT angiography, pulmonary embolism assessments, aortic imaging, carotid studies, and brain perfusion imaging.
  • Prepare and administer contrast agents according to established protocols, prioritizing patient safety.
  • Conduct multiplanar reconstructions and advanced 3D imaging processing as needed.
  • Start peripheral IVs and carry out venipuncture for contrast administration when required.
  • Adhere to radiation safety practices and isolation protocols while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Utilize GE CT systems and manage images through PACS.
  • Work collaboratively with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver prompt and precise diagnostic imaging.
  • Maintain comprehensive patient records and documentation in accordance with regulatory and departmental standards.
  • Perform CT procedures in a high-pressure Level I Trauma atmosphere, including emergency and trauma-specific imaging.

Qualifications for the CT Technologist:

  • At least 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist.
  • Prior experience in a Level I Trauma Center is mandatory.
  • ARRT(R) or ARRT(CT) certification is required.
  • Must possess current AHA BLS certification.
  • Proficiency in Epic EMR is required.
  • Experience with GE CT equipment and PACS is essential.
