Job Summary
The CT Technologist plays a crucial role in healthcare by utilizing advanced imaging technology to produce high-quality computed tomography scans. This position requires a strong understanding of radiologic procedures and the ability to ensure patient safety and comfort during scanning processes. The technologist will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic information.
Responsibilities
- Perform CT imaging procedures with high precision and efficiency.
- Prepare and position patients correctly for scans while ensuring their comfort.
- Operate and maintain CT equipment, troubleshooting issues as necessary.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including radiation safety and infection control.
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams to discuss scan results and improve imaging practices.
- Document patient information and imaging results accurately for medical records.
- Educate patients about the procedures and assist in addressing their concerns.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program with a focus on computed tomography.
- Current certification from a relevant medical board, such as ARRT.
- Strong knowledge of CT technology and radiation safety precautions.
- Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and teamwork.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while delivering quality patient care.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not mandatory.
