Job Summary
The Data Center Technician is responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of hardware within a data center, which includes stages such as deployment, ongoing maintenance, and eventual decommissioning. This role plays a crucial part in monitoring infrastructure incidents and ensuring that environmental conditions remain optimal for critical systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage the deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning of data center hardware.
- Monitor and address infrastructure incidents effectively.
- Ensure that environmental conditions are suitable for mission-critical systems.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma is required.
- Professional experience in data centers or with enterprise-grade IT hardware is essential.
- Strong proficiency in Linux is mandatory.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including racking equipment and lifting items weighing up to 50lbs.
