Job Summary
The Dental Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting dental practices by assisting dentists during procedures, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently. The position is integral for maintaining a hygienic environment and providing quality care to patients.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during examinations and treatments, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are readily available.
- Prepare the treatment room by sterilizing instruments and ensuring that all supplies are stocked.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
- Maintain patient records accurately and assist in scheduling appointments.
- Monitor patient comfort during procedures and address any needs that arise.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Dental Assistant or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Knowledge of dental procedures and patient care practices.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean work environment.
