Job Summary
The Dental Provider Credentialing Specialist is responsible for overseeing the credentialing process for dental professionals within the organization. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that all providers meet the necessary licensing and certification requirements, and it supports the organization’s ability to deliver high-quality care.
Responsibilities
- Verify and maintain provider credentials, including licenses, education, and training.
- Coordinate the application process for new dental providers and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Manage re-credentialing processes and maintain accurate provider records.
- Collaborate with various departments to streamline the credentialing workflow.
- Communicate effectively with dental providers regarding credentialing inquiries and status updates.
- Stay current with industry regulations and best practices in credentialing.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or equivalent education/experience; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience in healthcare credentialing, specifically in dental or medical settings.
- Strong understanding of credentialing laws and regulations.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using credentialing software and Microsoft Office applications.
