**Deputy Sheriff**
The Deputy Sheriff plays a vital role in enforcing laws within the county, which encompasses duties such as patrolling designated areas, conducting investigations into criminal activities, and ensuring compliance with both state and local regulations. This position also involves maintaining security in courtrooms, serving court documents, and responding to emergency situations to safeguard lives and property.
Applicants must meet the following requirements: they should be at least 21 years of age, a citizen of the United States, and hold a valid Kansas driver’s license with a satisfactory driving history. Additionally, candidates must be able to achieve certification through the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center and successfully pass physical, psychological, and background checks.
