Job Summary
Byte Systems, part of the VTG family, is on the lookout for a Senior DevOps Engineer to enhance our dynamic development team located in Herndon, VA. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in streamlining operations and improving our software development processes.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to optimize deployment processes.
- Design and implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain high availability.
- Automate tasks using scripting and automation tools.
- Ensure the security and compliance of cloud-based environments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with at least 9 years of professional experience, or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 7 years of experience.
- Extensive knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
- Experience with cloud services, particularly AWS or Azure.
- Strong understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
