Job Summary
The Dietary Clerk at Waterbury Rehab plays a crucial role in managing and supporting the dietary operations within the facility. This position involves ensuring that residents receive the appropriate meals in accordance with their needs and preferences, helping to maintain their health and well-being. The ideal candidate will assist in the coordination of food services, providing vital support to the dietary team and enhancing the overall dining experience for residents.
Responsibilities
- Assist in meal planning and preparation to meet the dietary requirements of residents.
- Manage food inventory, ensuring adequate stock and proper storage of supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the food service area.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and healthcare professionals regarding residents’ dietary needs.
- Document and track dietary preferences and modifications for residents.
- Coordinate meal service times to ensure timely delivery to residents.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent educational certification is required.
- Previous experience in a dietary or food service role is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of dietary requirements and nutritional guidelines.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
