Job Summary
The Director of Development plays a pivotal role in steering the fundraising initiatives of the organization, focusing on enhancing financial contributions through individual donations, grants, and collaborations with corporate entities. This position is key to establishing a robust development framework, effectively overseeing donor relationships, and empowering the Board to engage successfully in fundraising efforts.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to boost philanthropic support.
- Oversee the management of donor portfolios to cultivate and maintain relationships.
- Develop and manage corporate partnerships and grant applications to secure funding.
- Work towards building a sustainable development program that aligns with organizational goals.
- Prepare and equip the Board with tools and training needed for effective fundraising engagement.
Qualifications
- Proven record of success in nonprofit fundraising and development leadership.
- Experience in driving revenue growth within a nonprofit setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work autonomously, especially in a remote work environment on Cape Cod.
