Job Summary
The Emergency Department Technician plays a vital role in supporting nurses and physicians in delivering patient care within the emergency department. This position involves assisting with various clinical tasks and procedures to ensure the efficient operation of the department.
Responsibilities
- Measure and record vital signs for patients.
- Collect specimens as needed for testing.
- Apply and manage dressings on patient wounds.
- Provide coverage for unit secretary duties to maintain department organization.
Qualifications
- Possession of a valid California state-issued EMT, AEMT, Paramedic, or CNA license.
- Certification in BLS Healthcare Provider through the American Heart Association is mandatory.
