Job Summary
An EDI Analyst plays a pivotal role in enhancing electronic data interchange systems within the organization. This position focuses on optimizing data flows between partners and clients, ensuring accurate and timely exchange of information through EDI standards and protocols. The EDI Analyst collaborates with various departments to maintain the integrity and efficiency of data management systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support EDI solutions to facilitate data exchange.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external trading partners to establish EDI connections.
- Monitor and troubleshoot EDI transactions to ensure seamless operations.
- Develop and maintain documentation of EDI processes and specifications.
- Perform data mapping and translation to align with business requirements.
- Assist in staff training regarding EDI standards and usage.
- Continually evaluate EDI processes for improvements and efficiencies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience with EDI software and standards (such as ANSI X12, EDIFACT).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with data mapping tools and EDI translation solutions.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in project management and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
