Job Summary
The Electrical Engineer I or Electrical Engineer II position focuses on providing comprehensive support within the Energy Nuclear Fleet Corporate Design Engineering (CDE) department, serving as the Design Authority for critical electrical design operations. The role is primarily based at the McGuire Nuclear Station (MNS) in Huntersville, North Carolina, and involves overseeing capital engineering modifications in accordance with established nuclear industry design standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage electrical engineering changes for capital projects within the nuclear facility.
- Ensure compliance with nuclear industry design processes and standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support design initiatives and project execution.
- Document and maintain appropriate records for design modifications and engineering assessments.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and project teams.
- Participate in safety assessments and evaluations related to electrical systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Knowledge of electrical systems and design within the nuclear industry.
- Ability to achieve and maintain necessary certifications as required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
