Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer III – Electromechanical Actuation to guide the design, development, and validation of sophisticated electrical systems and electromechanical actuation solutions tailored for aerospace applications. This position plays a pivotal role in providing technical guidance on engineering projects, ensuring that designs satisfy performance, reliability, cost, and safety criteria while working closely with cross-functional teams throughout the product development stages. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the design, analysis, and development of intricate electrical circuits, subsystems, and control systems.
  • Create engineering solutions that fulfill performance, reliability, manufacturability, and safety standards.
  • Validate electrical designs using simulations, prototypes, laboratory tests, and system verifications.
  • Formulate electrical test plans and assist in qualification and verification processes.
  • Offer technical leadership, mentorship, and conduct design reviews for less experienced engineers.
  • Ensure that engineering documentation adheres to relevant standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • Work in conjunction with systems, mechanical, manufacturing, and quality engineering teams to seamlessly integrate electrical designs.
  • Assist in supplier technical evaluations and coordinate engineering tasks with external partners.
  • Engage in continuous improvement efforts aimed at enhancing product performance, quality, and engineering efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 4–6 years of applicable experience in electrical engineering.
  • Thorough understanding of electrical and electromechanical system design, analysis, and engineering principles.
  • Capacity to work autonomously with minimal oversight while managing technical initiatives.

Preferred Technical Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of electrical system and circuit design.
  • Familiarity with electromechanical actuation systems.
  • Experience in sizing and characterizing BLDC motors and solenoids.
  • Expertise in electrical simulation, testing, and validation for systems involving motors, actuators, and solenoids.
  • Acquainted with System Safety Assessments (SSA).
  • Understanding of aerospace electrical standards such as DO-254, IPC, or similar.
  • Strong skills in troubleshooting and system integration.
  • Experience in providing technical guidance and mentoring to engineers.
  • Proven ability to manage technical projects and supplier engineering initiatives.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with CATIA and MATLAB/Simulink is desirable.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
