Electrical Engineering Team Leader
Location: Rochester, NY

As the Electrical Engineering Team Leader, you will oversee a dynamic team focused on the development of cutting-edge ultrasound-based measurement and metrology solutions. This position necessitates a deep understanding of high-frequency analog electronics, product innovation, and the ability to transition developed products from research and development to manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Head, mentor, and cultivate a group of electrical engineers, promoting teamwork, technical excellence, innovation, and an ethos of continuous improvement.
- Lead the ideation, design, validation, and launch processes for ultrasound-focused metrology and measurement tools.
- Utilize fundamental principles of electrical engineering, emphasizing high-frequency dynamics (100 MHz and above) in transistors, RF amplifiers, passive components, filters, and associated analog systems.
- Acquire deep knowledge in ultrasound technologies and their industrial uses.
- Conduct market and competitive research to pinpoint customer demands, new trends, and potential product avenues.
- Assist in outlining new product requirements, technical specifications, and development timelines.
- Drive and actively participate in product innovation, the development of new products, and improvement projects for existing offerings.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing and other cross-functional teams to facilitate the smooth transition of products from R&D to production.
- Oversee R&D priorities, team staffing, project timelines, and budgets to accomplish program aims.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulatory mandates, and safety protocols throughout the product lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
- A minimum of 10 years of practical experience in electronic design and product development.
- At least 5 years of experience in engineering team leadership, including supervisory or technical management roles.
- Demonstrated capability in leading technical teams while fostering effective communication and interpersonal connections.
- Experience in creating high-reliability electronic products.
- Robust understanding of high-frequency analog and RF circuit design methodologies.
- Proven analytical, strategic, and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving innovation.
- Capacity to balance hands-on technical leadership with accountability for projects, resources, timelines, and budgets.
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required.
