Job description
Job Summary
An Emergency Department Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive medical care in high-pressure situations. This nursing professional is responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing patient care in a fast-paced emergency environment. The RN must quickly evaluate patient needs and respond effectively during critical incidents.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients in emergency scenarios.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care.
- Ensure the timely documentation of patient information and care provided.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and health maintenance.
- Participate in emergency response drills and maintain readiness for various emergencies.
Qualifications
- Current RN license to practice in the state.
- Previous experience in emergency nursing or critical care preferred.
- Excellent assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Ability to work effectively in a high-stress environment.
