Job description
Job Summary
The Emergency Department Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting. They will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for individuals experiencing acute medical conditions and injuries.
Responsibilities
- Provide immediate medical care to patients presenting with various emergencies.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ conditions and vital signs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure effective patient management.
- Educate patients and their families regarding care plans and preventative measures.
- Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic health records.
Qualifications
- Current RN license in the state of practice.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an emergency department or critical care.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
