Equipment Logistic Technician

$17-$18 per hour (based on shift) The Equipment Logistics Technician plays a crucial role in the efficient cleaning, distribution, and upkeep of medical devices and equipment within the facility, contributing to patient care by ensuring that essential equipment is readily available across various departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular checks in patient care areas to identify, retrieve, and redistribute medical assets.
- Thoroughly clean, disinfect, and inspect medical devices such as infusion pumps, syringe pumps, feeding pumps, PCA pumps, DVT pumps, specialty beds, carts, and other durable medical equipment.
- Support patient care units by delivering and collecting medical equipment as required.
- Assess and record the condition of equipment, promptly reporting any issues or defects.
- Maintain precise documentation of all tasks using an electronic tracking system or database.
- Manage the ordering, stocking, and distribution of medical supplies to various units and departments.
- Work closely with clinical staff to ensure that equipment availability meets the needs of patient care.
- Follow infection control and safety protocols while handling, cleaning, and transporting medical devices.
Essential Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Experience in a hospital, logistics, or medical equipment handling setting is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to adhere to established procedures.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Basic computer skills for task documentation and tracking.
- Ability to perform duties while remaining in a stationary position for long durations.
- Capability to move around and navigate the health system as needed.
- Proficient in operating computers, cleaning equipment, and related tools.
- Able to lift, move, or transport equipment weighing up to 50 lbs and carts/beds that may exceed 100 lbs.
- Competent in inspecting, cleaning, installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of equipment.
- Must have the ability to differentiate colors effectively for accurate equipment assessment.
- Strong communication skills for timely and precise information exchange.
