Job Summary
The role of the Experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Emergency Medicine is designed for a skilled professional who will operate on a per diem basis in Orwigsburg, Pennsylvania. This onsite position primarily involves providing comprehensive medical care in an emergency setting, supporting the healthcare team, and educating fellow staff members.
Responsibilities
- Conduct medical evaluations and administer appropriate treatment to patients in urgent care scenarios.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests and other diagnostic procedures to guide patient care.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care is delivered efficiently.
- Educate physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding protocols and best practices in emergency medicine.
Qualifications
- Must be a licensed and board-certified Registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Experience in emergency medicine or a related field is preferred to ensure effective patient management in critical situations.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
