Job Summary
The Fabricator plays a critical role in constructing structural frameworks for test chambers by interpreting blueprints and executing MIG/TIG welding on both steel and sheet metal. This position also includes tasks such as material preparation, weld grinding, and supporting departmental operations and training initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Construct structural frames for test chambers based on blueprints.
- Perform MIG/TIG welding on steel and sheet metal materials.
- Prepare materials required for fabrication tasks.
- Grind welds to ensure quality and precision.
- Assist in various departmental operations and training programs.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
- Proven experience in MIG/TIG welding fabrication specifically with structural steel and sheet metal.
- Strong mathematical skills essential for accurate measurement and layout.
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints effectively.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
