Job Summary
The Facilities Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the proper upkeep and functionality of the organization’s facilities. This position involves performing routine maintenance, trouble-shooting issues, and executing repairs to provide a safe and efficient environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings and equipment to ensure optimal operating conditions.
- Address maintenance requests in a timely manner, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks to reduce the risk of system failures.
- Collaborate with other team members to coordinate larger repair projects or renovations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
- Respond to emergencies in a prompt and efficient manner to minimize disruptions.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in facilities maintenance is a plus.
- Relevant experience in facilities management or maintenance services.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Proficient knowledge of building systems, including electrical and plumbing.
- Effective communication skills and a customer-service-oriented attitude.
