Job Summary
The Farm & Agribusiness Underwriter plays a crucial role in managing the underwriting and marketing of both new and renewal business while fostering profitable partnerships with independent agents. This position involves evaluating risks, negotiating terms, and working closely with internal teams to guarantee adherence to underwriting standards and organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Underwrite and market new and renewal business in the farm and agribusiness sectors.
- Maintain and develop profitable relationships with independent agents.
- Assess various risks and negotiate appropriate terms with stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with corporate underwriting guidelines.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in underwriting or a related business field.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience is required.
- Excellent communication and analytical abilities are essential.
- Strong relationship-building skills to effectively engage with agents and internal teams.
