Job Summary
The Flight Test Operator is tasked with leading comprehensive flight test initiatives, which includes serving as the Remote Pilot in Command for autonomous aircraft systems. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all aspects of flight testing are conducted safely and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Conduct full-scale flight test campaigns for autonomous aircraft.
- Serve as the Remote Pilot in Command during test flights.
- Validate the functionality of aircraft systems and components.
- Troubleshoot and resolve both hardware and software issues that arise during tests.
- Implement and uphold safety protocols on site to guarantee a secure testing environment.
Qualifications
- Possession of FAA Part 107 certification is mandatory.
- Prior experience in piloting drones or manned aircraft is essential.
- Strong skills in aeronautical decision-making are required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks in various outdoor conditions is necessary.
- Proficiency in technical diagnostics and troubleshooting is important.
