Job Summary
The Food Service Director is responsible for managing the dining services at a long-term care facility, focusing on delivering exceptional food quality, adhering to safety standards, and ensuring compliance with regulations. This role encompasses leading a dedicated food service team and executing hands-on tasks to uphold a high level of service.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the food service department to ensure quality and safety in food production.
- Lead and manage the food service staff, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Manage inventory and maintain accurate personnel records.
- Perform hands-on tasks as necessary to maintain high service standards.
Qualifications
- A minimum of an associate degree in food service management or hospitality, or a related field.
- At least two years of experience in food production and supervisory roles.
- Must acquire necessary certifications, including CDM, FPM, and FSM, within the first 60 days of employment.
