Job Summary
The Funeral Director/Embalmer is essential for overseeing every aspect of funeral services. This role involves engaging with clients to arrange personalized funeral experiences, coordinating services, and handling the final disposition of the deceased. Additionally, the Funeral Director/Embalmer is responsible for preparing the body, guiding a team during services, and ensuring that all client records are accurate and up-to-date.
Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to plan and arrange funeral services tailored to their needs.
- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of funeral services and final disposition.
- Prepare deceased individuals for viewing and services.
- Lead and manage team members during the execution of funeral services.
- Maintain thorough and precise documentation regarding clients and services rendered.
Qualifications
- Current state licensure for funeral directing and embalming is required.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is necessary.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for engaging with clients.
- Empathy and compassion towards grieving families are important attributes.
- Ability to travel frequently between various service locations is required.
