Job description
Job Summary
The Gear Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for overseeing the design, development, and optimization of gear manufacturing processes. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the production of high-quality gear components that meet industry standards and customer specifications.
Responsibilities
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes for gear production.
- Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability of gear designs.
- Conduct time and motion studies to optimize production efficiency.
- Implement quality control measures throughout the manufacturing process.
- Provide technical support and training to production staff.
- Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience in gear manufacturing processes.
- Strong understanding of machining, heat treatment, and quality assurance principles.
- Proficiency in CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
