Job Summary
The Homecare Aide / Home Maker plays a vital role in providing essential support and assistance to individuals in their homes. This position focuses on ensuring clients’ comfort, safety, and well-being through various non-medical services. The ideal candidate will demonstrate compassion and a genuine desire to enhance the quality of life for those they assist.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and hygiene.
- Help clients with household tasks including cleaning, meal preparation, and laundry.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to reduce feelings of isolation.
- Support clients with mobility and transportation to appointments or errands.
- Monitor clients’ health and report any concerns to family members or healthcare professionals as necessary.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in home care or related fields are a plus.
- Previous experience in a caregiving role preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate nature.
- Ability to follow care plans and communicate effectively with clients and families.
- Must pass background checks and adhere to safety protocols.
