Job Summary
The Linen Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining hospital operations by managing the inventory and distribution of linens across various departments. This position is essential to ensure that all areas are well-stocked and that service requests are handled efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Count, restock, and deliver linens to different hospital departments to maintain operational efficiency.
- Oversee and update inventory records for linens and related supplies.
- Collect soiled linens and manage their processing in accordance with health regulations.
- Respond promptly to service requests from staff and departments to ensure their linen needs are met.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is preferred.
- Prior experience in institutional laundry settings is advantageous.
- A valid driver’s license is required for transportation related to job duties.
